Applications are invited online only from qualified physically handicapped
candidates belonging to Blind, Partially Blind ,Deaf, partially Deaf, categories in the state of
Kerala against the vacancies reserved for them in the under mentioned post. Candidates shall
do 'One Time Registration' before submitting applications.

NOTE:-(i) Conventional type applications will be summarily rejected. Candidates shall
apply online only on www.keralapsc.org.
(ii) Separate Ranked List will be prepared for Thrissur, Palakkadu, Malappuram
and Idukki in pursuance of this notification. The Ranked list thus prepared
and published by the Commission, shall remain in force until candidates are
advised and appointed against the Physically Handicapped persons turns
identified as unfilled during the currency of the ranked list published for the
post in the following district.

(iii) Candidates shall submit application for the post to the district office
concerned where the vacancy is in existence, and note the name of that
district against the relevant column of the application. Applications should
not be submitted to more than one district in response to this notification .If
applications are submitted contrary to the above direction and if he/she is
selected,his/her name will be removed from the ranked lists and disciplinary
action will be taken against him/her.Candidates shuold note the name of the
district concerned in thr relevant column.
(iv) The selection in pursuance of the notification will be made on a revenue
district basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O.
(Ms)No.154/71/PD dated 27.05.1971. A candidate advised for appointment in
one revenue district from the Ranked List prepared is not eligible for transfer
to another district unless he/she completes five years continuous service from
the date of commencement of service in the former district. Even if transfer is
allowed after five years, it will be subject to the rules in G.O(MS)No.4/61/PD,
dated 2.1.1961. Candidates already in Government service holding this post
in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this post but they
can apply to higher posts when notified.
5 Method of appointment : Direct Recruitment ( From among Physically Handicapped
Blind/Partially Blind/ Deaf/Partially Deaf candidates
only)
6. Age limit : 18-40. Only candidates born between 02.01.1972 and
01.01.1994 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this
post. Other Backward Communities and SC/ST candidates are
eligible for usual age relaxation
Note:- For concessions regarding other age relaxation , subject to the condition that the
maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years, please see Para (2) of the
General Conditions under part II of this notification.
7. Qualifications : -
A degree in Malayalam or Graduation with Malayalam as one of the optional subjects
under pattern II of Part III and B.Ed/BT/L.T conferred or recognised by the
Universities in Kerala.
OR
Title of oriental Learning in Malayalam awarded by the Universities in Kerala and
certificate in Language Teachers Training issued by the commissioner for Government
Examinations, Kerala
Note:- (i) Post Graduates in Malayalam are also eligible to apply for this post provided they
have B.Ed/B.T/L.T qualifications
(ii) B.Ed should be in the concerned subject viz. Malayalam
(iii)The disciplines in which BA/MA and Bed Degree were obtained should be
mentioned.
(iv) Those candidates who secured B.Ed/B.T Degrees from the Universities outside
Kerala should note in the application form the number and date of relevant orders
declaring the said degree as equivalent to those prescribed for this selection. The
copies of such order shall be produced before the commission when it is called for.
8. Special concessions regarding Appointment and age limit:
(i) Preference will be given as laid down in G.O. (MS) No.50/70/PD. Dated 12.02.70 and
G.O.(Ms)No 9/78/G.Edn. Dated 21.1.78 to the wives of Jawans in the matter of
recruitment as Teachers, if they possess the prescribed qualifications. Soldiers in active
service and those working in base establishment are included under the term of ‘Jawans’.
Wives of Jawans should note in the application form that they are “wives of Jawans”. Such
candidates should obtain proper certificate from the Officer Commanding stating the
name, Military rank and Military address of their husbands and produce the same as
and when required by the Commission [G.O. (MS) No.509/64/Edn. Dated 19.9.64,
G.O.(Ms)No.614/65/Edn. Dated 9.11.65 and G.O. (Ms) No.243/66/Edn. Dated
27.05.1966] .
(ii) Laboratory attenders in the Departmental High school in the State who have rendered at
least five years satisfactory service and possess the prescribed qualification will be
exempted from age limit. They should produce proper certificates from Headmaster of
the School specifying the date of commencement of their service and the total service
put in by them as and when required by the Commission Candidates who claim
exemption on this basis will not be given the benefit of communal reservation (GO(MS)
No.315/62/Edn. Dated 14.05.1962)
(iii) First class Scouts and Guides will be given preference in the matter of appointment
as teachers [G.O. (M.S.) No.122/75/G.Edn. dated 27.05.1975 and G.O. (M.S.)
No.50/70/PD. Dated 12.02.1970)].
(iv)Teachers of the Government Primary and Nursery Schools who are graduates and are
otherwise qualified will be exempted from upper age limit [ GO (MS) No. 185/70/Edn
dated 18-04-1970 and GO (MS) No 466/70/Edn dated 11.11.1970.] They should produce
proper certificates from the authorities concerned as and when required by the
Commission.
Note:- Candidates who claim concessions regarding para 2 of the general conditions should
state the fact in the relevant column of the application. Otherwise the applications are
liable to be rejected presuming that they are over aged candidates.
