NCA NOTIFICATION (STATEWIDE)
Applications must be submitted online through the official website of the Commission
after 'ONE TIME REGISTRATION' .Candidates who have already registered can apply through their
profile.

The above vacancy is now in existence. The ranked list published as per this notification will be
valid until candidates are advised and appointed against the vacancies earmarked to the above
community but remain unfilled due to the paucity of candidates during the currency of the ranked list
published for the post on 07.06.2007
4 Scale of Pay : Rs.19240-34500/-
5 Method of appointment : Direct Recruitment.(from candidates belonging to
reservation groups mentioned in this notification.)
Note:- The applications submitted by candidates belonging to other than the community mentioned in
this notification will be summarily rejected. Individual rejection memo will not be sent to them.
6 Age limit : 20-43. Only candidate born between 2.01.1969 and
01.01.1992 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for the
post. (Including relaxation in Para 2(i) of the general
conditions)

7 Qualifications:-
I. Master's Degree in Journalism with not less than 50% marks from any of the Universisites in
Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent therto in the respective subject by any
University in Kerala.
II. (i) B.Ed in the concerned subject acquired after a regular course of study from any of the
Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent there to by any
University in Kerala.
(ii) In the absence of persons with B.Ed Degree in the concerned subject, B.Ed degree
acquired in the concerned faculty as specified in the Acts and Statutes of any of the
Univertsities in Kerala.
(iii) In the absence of persons with B.Ed Degree as specified in items II (i) and (ii) above,
the persons with B.Ed degree in any subject acquired after a regular course of study
from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent therto
by any University in Kerala.
OR
III. Must have passed the State Eligibility Test (SET) for the post of Higher Secondary
School Teachers conducted by Government of Kerala or by the agency authorized by
the State Government.
Note. 1 In the absence of B.Ed.Degree holders, candidates having Master's degree with not less
that 50% marks and who have passed the State Eligibility Test will be considered.
Preference shall be given to those who have acquired Ph.D/M.Phil Degree or qualified
Junior Research Fellowship/National Eligibility Test. The teachers appointed under this
provision will have to acquire B.Ed degree at their own expense within five years from
the date of entry in service.
2 Persons who have acquired M.Ed. in the subject concerned recognised by any
University in Kerala are exempted from B.Ed qualification.
Exemptions:-
1) Those persons who have passed the State Level Eligibility Test for the post of College
Lecturers conducted by Government of Kerala are exempted from passing the State
Eligibility Test for Higher Secondary School Teacher.
2) Those persons who have passed the National Eligibility Test/Junior Research
Fellowship shall be exempted from passing the State Eligibility Test.
3) Persons with Ph.D/M.Phil/M.Ed Degree shall be exempted from passing the State
Eligibility Test provided the M.Phil in the concerned subject should be one awarded by
any of the Universities in Kerala or recognised as equivalent there to by any of the
Universities in Kerala.
4) The teachers who have completed 10(ten) years of approved teaching service at the
High School level in the General Education Subordinate Service shall be exempted
from passing the State Eligibility Test for higher Secondary School Teacher.
8. Mode of submitting application.
Candidates shall register as per 'ONE TIME REGISTRATION ' system on the Official
Website of Kerala Public Service Commission 'www.keralapsc.org' for applying for the post.
Candidates who have registered shall apply by logging in to their profile using their User- ID and
password. Candidates must exclusively click on the 'Apply Now' button of the respective posts in the
Notification link for applying for a post. No application fee is required. Candidates can view and have
a print-out of the details in the profile by clicking the link Registration Card, if required. Candidates are
responsible for the correctness of the personal information and secrecy of password. Before applying
for a post, candidates must ensure correctness of the information in their profile. They must quote the
User- ID for further communication with the Commission. Applications once submitted will be
received as provisional and particulars shall not be deleted or altered after submission. Applications
will be summarily rejected if non compliance with the notification in due course of processing.
Documents to prove Qualification, experience, community, age etc. have to be produced as and when
called for .
