Note:-
(i) Applications submitted by candidates belonging to communities other than
those notified will be summarily rejected. No rejection memo will be issued.
(ii) A Ranked list will be prepared for Kasaragod district in pursuance of this
notification. Ranked list thus prepared and published as per this notification
shall remain in force until candidates are advised and appointed against the
Vacancies earmarked for the above communities but remain unfilled during
the currency of the Ranked List published for the post in the following
district.

(iii) The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a revenue
district basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in GO(Ms) No.
154/71/PD dated, 27.05.1971. A candidate advised for appointment in one
revenue district from the Ranked List prepared is not eligible for transfer to
another district. Even if transfer is allowed after five years, it will be subject
to the rules in G O (MS) No.4/61/PD, dated 2.1.1961. Candidates already in
Government Service holding the same post in any one district are prohibited
from applying again for this post, but they can apply to higher posts when
notified
5 Method of Appointment : Direct Recruitment (From candidates belonging to
Scheduled Caste SIUC Nadar and Muslim
Communities only) [In the absence of candidates
belonging to scheduled Caste communities, candidates
belonging to Scheduled Tribe will be considered ]
6 Age Limit 1. 18-45, Only candidates born between 02.01.1967 and
01.01.1994 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this
post in the case of SC Community
2 18-43, (Only candidates born between 2.1.1970 and 1.1.1994
(both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post in the
case of Muslim and SIUC Nadar Communities

7 Qualifications :-
A Degree in the concerned subject and B.Ed/BT in the concerned
subject conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala
(concerned subjects are specified in note (3) below).
Note:-1. Diploma in Rural Service awarded by the National Council for Rural Higher
Education will also be treated as equivalent to Degree for the above purpose.
2 If there is a written test the question papers for the written test will be in
Kannada Candidates should answer the Questions in Kannada.Knowledge in
Kannada will also be tested at the time of interview.
3 The applicants should have taken physics/Chemistry as main subject for
graduation. Degree in Geology (Main) with physics and Chemistry as
subsidiary subjects with B.Ed Degree (Physical Science) can also be
considered as an alternative qualification for the post (G.O (Ms)
No.195/96/G.Edn. Dated, 02/07/1996).
4 Post Graduates in concerned subject with B.Ed/BT are also eligible to apply for
the post.

Post title degree holders are not eligible to apply for the post of High School
Assistant.

8 SPECIAL CONCESSION REGARDING APPOINTMENT AND AGELIMIT
(i) Preference will be given as laid down in G.O. (MS) No.50/70/PD dated 12.2.70
and G.O. (MS) No.9/78/G.Edn. Dated 21.1.78 to the wives of Jawans in the
matter of recruitment as Teachers, if they possess the prescribed qualifications.
Soldiers in active service and those working in Base establishment are included
under the terms of Jawans. Wives of Jawans must

Teachers of the Government Primary and Nursery Schools who are Graduates
and are otherwise qualified will be exempted from upper age limit [Go (MS)No
185/70/Edn. Dated 18.4.1970 and GO (MS) No 466/70/Edn Dated 1.11.1970]
They Should produce proper certificate from authorities concerned
The candidates who claim concession on the basis of any of the reason
mentioned in para 2 of the general conditions should state “Are you eligible for
age relaxation” as “yes” on the online application and give details in the space
following. Otherwise the applications are liable to be rejected presuming that
they are over aged candidates. Upper age limit after allowing the relaxation as
per rule should not exceed 50 years of age. (See para 2 of General Conditions)
