The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai and the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi have launched a study entitled Mental Health of People Living with HIV/AIDS in India: Implication for Policy and Programmes. The study attempts to assess their mental health needs in the context of bio-psycho-social and economic realities in three states namely Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra.

Project Director: Prof. Shankar Das, CHPPM,SHSS, Tata Institute of Social Sciences.

Location: The Research Assistant would be based in Hyderabad, however, during data collection some travelling is required.

Qualification: Master’s degree in Social Work, Social Sciences, Counselling, Health, Development field (or equivalent) with at least 2 years of research experience in the relevant sector. The post requires a good understanding of HIV/AIDS, Mental Health and computer skills.

Language: Fluency in English, Telugu and Hindi

Job Summary: The incumbents would be responsible for the data collection, data collection monitoring, data editing, data analysis and preparation of draft reports.

Salary package commensurate with qualifications and experience.
